Pastors Pat & Brooke Butcher
My wife, Brooke, and I are the founding Pastors of Family Worship Center. We not only pastor in Carroll County but oversee the network church planting. This year we will have been ministering God's love in Carrollton for over 25 years.
I've been in the Carroll/Owen area my whole life. Brooke and I met through my cousin and have been married now for 25 years. We have two great kids: Carson and Giana.
Pastor Pat - I love farming and connecting with people everywhere I go. I also love football and coaching. One of my favorite scripture verses is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
Pastor Brooke - I really enjoy spending time with my family and in my home, whether it be decorating or doing something with the house. I am most passionate about my relationship with the Lord. I love to spend time in prayer and study building my relationship with the Holy Spirit. One of my favorite scripture verses is also Philippians 4:13 but in the Amplified, "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]."
I have been going to Family Worship Center for 19 years now and in August I'll have been working at the church for two years. My role at FWC is to help take first time guests to fully engaged members. I help people get plugged into a place of serving and also connect with people in our community.
My husband, Dooley, and I met at the church and have been married now for 17 years. My husband is Pastor Pat's brother and so I've been lovingly adopted into their family. We have five kids: Tara is 30 and she and her husband Paul work at the UK Medical Center and have a beautiful daughter Kynleigh (our 1st grandbaby!). Jill is 24 and is a graduate from Eastern KY University and loves basketball, UK and the Steelers. Dylan is 23 and a senior in high school this year. He is very social and loves spending time with friends. Mallory is 18 and loves basketball, swimming and riding horses. Bryce is 16 and loves soccer and sports in general.
I love to spend time with my family and watch my kids play sports. I also love to ride horseback, shop and connect with people. My favorite scripture verse really has a lot to do with what I do at FWC and my desire to connect with others. Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.'" I believe God has a plan for everyone that I come into contact with - a good plan that can bring them hope and purpose.
