OUR FOUNDING LEGACY

We have an incredible rich legacy here at FWC.  Pastor Pat and Brooke are the founding pastors of this work! Pastor Pat didn’t think about a church while he was in bible college. He thought he was preparing for a life of ministry traveling as an evangelist. Upon returning home and waiting on God to somehow launch him into the traveling ministry, members of his family and others asked him to start a bible study. In 1986 with a group of people who were desiring to meet God through His Word, the bible study was born. It wasn’t long after when scores of people filled the home of Debbie and Logan Kemper that God’s purpose began to be revealed. By the end of 1988, under the leadership of Pat Butcher a retail space was leased. The first service of Family Worship Center was held December 31, 1988. Not long after, as the church began to grow, plans were being drawn up to build a church on land that had been donated for that purpose. In 1993 construction was started on the current facility to serve as a regional church drawing from counties in Kentucky and Indiana.

The reason Family Worship Center in Carrollton exists is to “To see our region set free in Christ”.  To accomplish this we work to help people know Jesus, be changed by His presence, and equipped to serve others.
