PRAY AND REFLECT

The goal of this reading plan is not to read through the Bible in a specific time frame. The goal is for you to saturate yourselves in the Word of the God and prayer so that the Holy Spirit can teach you and transform you. As a church, we want to go deeper in the Word and our relationship with the Holy Spirit.
READ:  Each week we will be repeating chapters, this is to help get the Word on the inside of you through repetition. Take your time, read slow, and spend time placing yourself in the story.
PRAY:  As you read each day, spend time in prayer. We recommend to pray in your understanding and also in your prayer language. Praying while reading the Word helps you to engage your mind and your spirit in the process of making the Word part of you. Praying in the Spirit bypasses your brain and is a revelation gift, you will be surprised at the things that the Holy Spirit will teach you when you combine prayer and reading. Start with 5 minutes and increase as you grow.
REFLECT:  As things jump out to you and the Holy Spirit teaches you, write down the things which God shows you.  Here are a few questions to help you reflect on what you are reading.

1) What can I learn about God in what I read today? (His character, attributes, plan, or works. The Bible is telling the story of redemption, everything is there on purpose)

2) What can I learn about the people in this story? (Who they were?  How did they respond to God?)

3) What is the Holy Spirit highlighting to me in this passage? (What can I meditate and reflect on?  What caused me to pause and think about my own life?)

4) How can I apply this to my life? (What is the Holy Spirit teaching me to adjust?  Is there something He is asking me to begin doing?  To repent and turn from?   To step out in faith?)

The Word of God will bring revelation that will bring change to our lives!  I want to encourage you to keep what you have read in your hearts and minds today.  Speak the Word,  share it with others in the church who are doing this plan,  pray the Word,  and apply it to the way you live.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 – All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
